Isapilone is the first new anticancer drug in the class of Ebomycin, which can bind to tubulin and cause cancer cells to be unable to carry out mitosis smoothly, and eventually lead to tumor cell apoptosis. Isapirone has a completely new chemical structure and a different microtubule binding site from taxoid, so it has stronger anti-tumor activity.
