Baceridin was originally isolated from the culture medium of plant-associated Bacillus, which is a cyclic peptide composed of six amino acids. Studies have shown that Baceridin has certain antibacterial activity and cytotoxicity against S. aureus, showing moderate cytotoxicity and weak anti-S. aureus activity. At the same time, Baceridin has been shown to be a proteasome inhibitor that can inhibit cell cycle progression and induce tumor cell apoptosis through independent pathways.
