Strep-Tactin®XT 4Flow® FPLC columns are intended for automated affinity purification using liquid chromatography devices like Äkta® (Cytiva). The FPLC columns contain a crosslinked agarose coupled to streptavidin variant Strep-Tactin®XT. The resin offers outstanding target purity (>95%) and high binding affinity. Therefore, it is recommended for all protein classes, especially for low abundant or challenging proteins. Because of the low agarose concentration (4%), it is particularly suitable for large target protein purification.
For higher protein yields, we recommend our Strep-Tactin®XT 4Flow® high capacity FPLC columns.
When working with multimeric proteins, we recommend using our Strep-Tactin® 4Flow® high capacity FPLC columns instead, since the increased avidity might influence elution efficiency.
