Appearance and properties:

White crystal. 易Soluble in water, slightly soluble in ethanol, insoluble in ether, chloroform, benzene, petroleum ether, oils and fats. Aqueous solution is acidic. Can rapidly oxidized to dehydroascorbate in the air. Odorless, sour like citric acid. Strong reducing agent. After long-term storage, it will gradient turn into different degrees of light yellow color.
