Discovery proteomics maximizes the number of proteins assessed (>2000 human, >1300 mouse, 90 rat, 50 porcine, or 30 bovine proteins) to identify key proteins of interest across multiple pathways and biological processes while minimizing time and effort. These proteins can then be verified and validated in greater numbers of samples in a smaller more targeted protein set.

Label-Based Platform:
Through a simple labeling process, the sample proteins are directly conjugated to biotin, eliminating the need for a second antibody to develop the array signals. Proteins binding to the array are detected a streptavidin-conjugated fluor. In this format, unintended antibody interactions are impossible, thus eliminating limitations on the size of the array panel.

Sandwich-Based Platform:
These arrays utilize the sandwich-ELISA design principle. Where, capture antibodies are printed in multiple identical arrays on a standard-sized histology slide. After a blocking step, samples are incubated with the arrays. Nonspecific proteins are then washed off, and the arrays are incubated with a cocktail of biotinylated detection antibodies, followed by a streptavidin-conjugated fluor.
