    L-Glutamic acid

     

    Descriptions: Colorless, white crystals or white crystalline powder. Almost odorless, but with special taste and tart flavor. It is melted when heat till 160°C and water molecular is separated out. It dissolute in 224~225°C. The aqueous solution is acidic. PH value of saturated solution is approx. 3.2. Insoluble in water (0.72mg/100ml,20°C;6.66g/100ml,80°C). It’s a kind of important amino acid of animal and plant nitrogen balance. It can be used as flavor enhancer (mainly in meat, soup, poultry etc.), salt replacer, nutrition supplement, and can also be agent in canned aquatic products such as shrimp, crab etc. to prevent magnesium ammonium phosphate from crystallization. Usage 3%~1.6%.

    Recommended Usage and Points for Attention:

    1.FDA/WHO(1984): Used in meat of instant food and soups, 10g/kg

    2.FEMA(mg/kg):Beverage, baked products, meat, sausage, broth, dairy products, flavorings, cereal products, average 400mg/kg.

    3.FDA,§ 172.320(1994):As nutrition supplement, usage limit 12.4% (based on overall protein in the food).

    4.ADI, no special stipulation shall be done,(FDA/WHO,1994)

    5.GRAS(FDA,§ 182.1045,1994)

     

    Packaging and transportation:

     

    Packing: The product is double packed. The inner is sealed with non-toxic polyethylene plastic bags or PP film, the outer is 4-layer craft paper bags. Each bag is 25kg net. Packaging can also be customized.

     

    Transportation: Handle with care, to avoid from sunlight and rains, keep away from toxic and harmful substances in transit. The product is non-hazardous, it can be transported as normal chemicals.

     

    Storage: To store in dry, clean, well-ventilated environment. Keep away from poisonous and harmful substances to avoid pollution. Quality guarantee period is 2 years.
