Function of Latanoprost

Latanoprost is a new type of phenyl substituted prostaglandin F2α, which is a selective F2α receptor agonist. It is an inactive substance that can quickly penetrate into the cornea and can be hydrolyzed into active free acids in the cornea and plasma. It can increase the outflow of aqueous humor through the corneal layer, and the amount of medication is small, but promotes the outflow of aqueous humor.
