Microbiology base material
The difference between peptone and Proteose Peptone is the different degree of their hydrolysis, and hydrolysis of peptone is much higher than proteose. It can be precipitated by ammonium sulfate and offer C source, N source etc.
Proteose peptone is a special mixed peptone, which full of macromolecule peptide (for example over 4000) under accuracy production control.
