Indication: Used for the treatment of preterm labor in pregnant women with a gestational age between 24 and 33 weeks.

Mechanism of Action: Atosiban works by inhibiting the effects of oxytocin, a hormone that causes the uterus to contract. It does this by binding to oxytocin receptors in the uterine muscles, preventing oxytocin from activating them. In addition, it has some inhibitory effect on vasopressin receptors.
