Bruker microCT SkyScan 1294是世界上第一台商品化的相差（phase-contrast）台式显微断层扫描成像仪，它是一种新型的可以无损伤地揭示之前无法看到的样品特质的3D成像方式。在传统microCT所观察的样品X射线吸收，SkyScan 1294还可以获样品X射线折射和散射的特质，远远超过所重构的像素大小，实现了同时获取X光吸收、相差和暗视场（散射）图片。系统所采用的多色X光进行相差成像得专利技术是由Swiss Light Source的Paul Scherrer研究所所拥有，并授权给Bruker microCT做商品化应用。
