For many women, the first contact with the hospital is in an obstetrics department. There are many methods of delivery and it is important that the stay is good. The Affinity® IV delivery bed is designed to adapt to all the chosen delivery methods. It is designed to ensure the comfort of patients, whatever the position adopted.
Thanks to the backup battery, the bed controls remain operational even when it is disconnected, which facilitates the positioning and control of the patient during emergency transport.
The OneStep® side rails can be raised and lowered with one hand, automatically folding under the bed during descent.
The OneStep® side rail locking system facilitates and secures the transfer of the patient by ensuring a perfect junction (without gap).
The clean lines of the bed (all equipment is stored within the perimeter of the bed: no protrusions) protect you when you move quickly around your patient.
The pelvic section with automatic tilt and the V-shaped mattress (optional) facilitate access to the patient during birth.
The foot section locks easily and stays in position.
Its clean design gives the bed a feeling of lightness that facilitates maneuvering during patient transport.
The EasyGlide® calf supports can be oriented to obtain the best positioning and lock with a simple handle.
Thanks to the robust Trendelenburg mechanism, incorporating pneumatic cylinders and reinforced joints, a single person can lower and raise the bed with ease.
The pneumatic Trendelenburg mechanism allows the head to be lowered immediately by 8 degrees.
The OneStep® stirrups are wider and can be locked with a locking handle that can be operated with one hand, at any angle.
Inflatable cushions in the back and seat prevent the patient from having to be repositioned during delivery.
All four casters are double-locking, allowing the bed to be completely immobilized .
The thicker Comfortline® pressure-reducing foam mattress provides additional support, especially in the more sensitive seating area.
Backlit, easily accessible, easy-to-understand and easy-to-use Point-of-Care® side rail controls enhance patient comfort and safety.
During labor and delivery, every second counts. Caregivers need to be able to react quickly and easily, especially in an emergency. The Affinity Four birthing bed meets the challenge of a reliable birthing bed that operates with ease in the most demanding environment. With the Affinity Four’s Stow and Go™ feature, you can simply slide the integrated leg rest under the bed during labor and then slide it back into place when finished. If, on the other hand, you choose the ergonomic Lift-Off version, simply place the leg rest on the integrated base.
Less time, less hassle
During labor and delivery, staff time is limited. Caregivers often can’t afford to take even a few minutes to search for equipment, a power outlet or to use complicated controls. The Affinity Four is designed to help caregivers cope with the challenges they face every day.
• The Stow and Go leg rest slides and stores under the bed (no lifting required). The leg rest easily snaps back into place, avoiding faulty fasteners or bed sheet interference.
• With battery backup , caregivers can use all of the bed’s features, including height adjustment and position change, when the bed is away from a power outlet, reducing the time from “decision to action” in critical situations.
• Gas-lift assisted Trendelenburg allows for an immediate reduction of the backrest adjustment to 8 degrees.
• OneStep side release provides zero transfer gap for safe and easy transfer of mothers.
• Optimized bed design, with the ability to store all equipment within the perimeter (instead of sticking out), protects caregivers as they move around the mother. Every
woman’s labor and delivery experience is different. The process can be lengthy for some women and very quick for others.
