Gamma Probe System for the
Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy (SLNB)
SENNA 500W SENTINEL LYMPH
NODE BIOPSY-SLNB
SENTINEL LYMPH
NODE BIOPSY-SLNB
Intraoperative surgical procedure used to determine whether cancer has spread
beyond a primary tumor into lymphatic system
Used effectively by the surgeon and nuclear medicine physicians as a guide to
find the radiolabeled sentinel lymph node
Primarily utilized in the treatment of breast cancer and melanoma
Surgeon injects a radioactive substance (Tc99) near the tumor
Surgeon then uses the gamma probe to detect lymph nodes that contain the
radioactive substance
If sentinel lymph node is located, the surgeon makes a small incision and removes
the node
SLNB-Benefits
Gamma probe devices assist surgeons operating in radio guided diagnosis and surgery during intra-operation and pre-operation.
It is difficult to locate tissues such as lymphnodes and tumors within human body for surgeons.
Consequently, gamma probe devices facilitate surgeon to go for a smaller incision to locate the
tissues of interest.
Reduces the risk of spreading
Reduced complications
and morbidity
Positive result confirm the
assumption of spreading
Minimally invasive
Avoid additional removals of
healthy nodes
Cost - effective
WHY IS THE NEED FOR GAMMA
PROBES INCREASING?
Cinical Infrastructure
Rising cases of cancer across the globe
Breast cancer was the most common
cancer among women worldwide,
contributing nearly 25% of the total
number of new cases (9.2M) diagnosed
in 2020 globally
In 2020, the number of new cancer cases
(all types excluding non-melanoma skin
cancer) and fatalities reached 2.7 million
in the EU
Simplified access to isotopes and
pharmaceuticals
Growing regional healthcare spending
Increasing adoption of gamma probes
WIRELESS PROBE P-500SW
The function key on the handheld probe is a real innovation for a Gamma Probe. With
just one press of the button, you can easily use functions and modes to get the
readings you need.
You can use the button to switch between count measurement ranges or apply the 10-
second summation function.
In addition to being convenient, the function key helps
streamline your workflow without having to use the control
unit keys.
Designed with ease of use in mind, the key allows you to
take quick and accurate readings with just the touch of a finger.
